Rare Counterweight pendant lamp of the German luminous designer Florian Schulz from the early 1980s.
The lamp convinces with its simple elegance as well as the high -quality workmanship and materiality. The umbrella forms a simple hemisphere made of heavy brass. The peculiarity of this design consists in manual height adjustment through the side train. The cable runs from the actual canopy via a ball weight to another canopy with a deflection roller and finally to the screen. There is also a deflection roll inside the ball weight. The cable runs through the weight. It is almost threaded. The black cable is of particular importance in this design. Depending on the position of the lamp, it forms geometric figures with black lines. All elements of the lamp are designed in solid brass, which is largely polished.
The lamp is in very good condition with signs of wear and patina. The surface was polished by an artisan for a high gloss. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
