A chair similar to this one is depicted on a postcard of the VII. Ausstellung der Vereinigung Bildender Künstler Österreich Secession that took place March – May 1900. Label underneath the seat was used between 1886 and 1921. Depicted in the 1906 Thonet catalogue (page 23). It was the most expensive of the 3 varieties of this chair, because of the special (fine woven) webbing.
