Exceptionally executed, hand carved and painted where needed, the exotic bird, a common African Ostrich. The large avian pair of two toed feet positioned facing opposing sides, the formidable claw protruding out over the molded edge of the circular wooden base, evoking thoughts of their great distant ancestor, the Velociraptor dinosaur. The pair mounted vertical, with legs supporting the round wooden tabletop. The hardwood top having rich, warm aged wood coloring, warm, rustic hues, superb grain patterns, and beautiful patina. From a fine private estate in Dallas, Texas.
