A charming example of an early to mid-19th century Welsh folk art cricket table. With a primitive/naïve look this example is made from what’s believed to be ash wood. With a bow frames base nailed into place. In untouched and completely original condition.
Dimensions in inches: H 24” x W 18” x D 18”
Age: 1840 – 1860
Origin: Wales
Condition: Aged
NOTE: Decoys not included as part of this sale.
This item shows natural wear and aging through obvious use. With a natural patination across its surface, over years of use this item has incurred many worn stains to the base, light natural wood splits (not structural) and the feet have got old (no longer present) worm holes and wear. The table is very firm and in once piece, a very sturdy, well-made example with lots of character and charm.
