1952 Pair-Venice Watercolor Illustration Prints-Signed, Matted

This is a set of 2 watercolor scenes of Venice that came from a tourism publication, “Ente Provincale per il Turismo de Venice” published in 1952. The original series came in a bound album tied with a silk cord. The watercolor illustrations are by Antonio Lucarda (1904-1993), a well accomplished Italian artist whose works are sold at auction houses worldwide. We recently purchased this album and are offering the prints in sets of 2; please see the others in our shop. This set depicts the Piazza San Marco and the bridges and canals of Venice. Each illustration is signed by Lucarda. These images make for wonderful wall décor. They each have a truly unique quality with soft color tones and intricate detailing showing activity and life in the magical city. They are in excellent condition. Each measures 8 x 11.5 inches in size and each comes matted in a neutral tone 16 x 20 inch custom mat that is ready for a standard size frame. Please allow time for custom matting.
