Handsome 19th century country French provincial diminutive writing table or desk carved from walnut. The top and frieze have a gracefully curved serpentine shape with a small storage drawer at one end. The case is decorated with carved walnut leaves and the corners have acanthus sprays on the tops. Supported by elegant cabriole legs ending with scrolled feet. The walnut has a lovely warm honey patina with desirable age on the finish.
