Early 19th Century.
This early 19th-century mocha-decorated pottery jug features a central band of yellow slip adorned with a striking tri-color cat’s eye decoration. The soft yellow band is flanked by wide bands of plain blue slip, creating a visually arresting contrast. Four groupings of thin brown and white lines provide a decorative separation between the central panel, the top rim, and the foot rim.
