Contemporary Design
LUCO is a barstool with essential, pure shapes, resulting from the personal interpretation of its designer, Martín Azúa. He has managed to combine three complementary aspects: technology, contemporary design, and the traditional skill of woodturning. Martín Azúa is interested in working with local resources and using different materials and technology that include both innovation and tradition. The designer dislikes the idea of a uniform world in which products have an unclear origin and are made of materials that we don’t recognize.
Luco comes in three possible sizes and different wood types: Beech, Oak, and Oak stained Walnut. The footrest is made of lacquered steel. It weighs 3.9 kg.
