This round tray is crafted of a woven bamboo substrate coated in many layers of black lacquer to strengthen the form and create an even finish. The weaving pattern of the bamboo form adds texture to the base and creates a scalloped surface along the edges. The tray has short vertical sides and is slightly elevated by a thin ring base. The interior is hand-painted with concentric circles and floral wreaths in a palette of pink, blue, and red.
