Direct from our most recent French container, a stunning antique French hall cabinet or bookcase, very tall (6.5 ft) and slender (21”), with classic Louis XV style.
The top features a large upper arched crown, with serpentine and beveled edging around the open display area below. There are FIVE different display/storage areas that include three open areas and two paneled doors with interior storage – each door having large French ‘piano’ hinges and original locks.
The lower cabinet has a carved serpentine apron and charming French scroll feet.
Full of French charm and with the tall yet slender size, it’s easy to imagine this cabinet anywhere from a French country kitchen to a powder room for linens! Quality throughout; well built by craftsmen of the period, circa1920.
