A set of early 19th century French doors from a cabinet or cupboard, crafted of solid chestnut. Thick panels with beautiful hand-carved stylized floral motif and waxed patina. Decorative cast iron escutcheons and large hinges. Working lock and key. All original. Carved in the panel is the name of the women for whom this piece was commissioned, likely as a wedding gift as was the custom: Gabriela Gourmelén and the date, 1823. These salvaged doors may be used to create a stand alone cabinet or may be incorporated into custom kitchen cabinetry. Please refer to photos for more details. Pictures are part of the description.
