A beautiful 19th Century French Mantel Clock. Features a seated woman in the thinker position. She is wearing a large flowing dress, sitting on a Klismos chair with footed raised over a stool. Behind the figure is the clock houses in an ornate urn like vessel with figural scrolled supports and paw feet. Works Marked Japy Fils, 1855, H.L.F. The clock and sculpture are mounted to a raised slate plinth style base with elegant green marble panels along the front.
